  • 3 tbsp cinnamon

Cinnamon buns with peanuts

Preparation

Mix the bread dough following the instructions on the packet.
Preheat the oven to 200˚C.
In a pan with a heavy gauge base, heat the golden syrup, butter and cinnamon gently on a low flame/setting.
After the dough has risen, roll it out flat. Spread onto it half of the cinnamon/ golden syrup mixture and sprinkle this with the finely chopped peanuts.
Make a long roll of the dough and cut into slices, place these on end in a greased baking tin (24 cm diameter) and bake the buns in the middle of the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Allow them to cool slightly, then spread them with the remainder of the warm cinnamon/golden syrup mixture.
